What You Need to Know When You're 30 Weeks Pregnant

So you're already 30 weeks pregnant – congratulations and how exciting. Time really flies by when you're busy. If this is your first time being pregnant, you may be curious to know what's still happening to your precious little baby. You will be pleased to know that your baby continues to develop and grow up until the day you give birth.
Here are some of the things that are happening to you and your baby during this stage of your pregnancy:
Weight Gain
During this time of your pregnancy, you and your baby have already gained some weight. Your baby has an average weight of 5 or 6 pounds and compared to your 5th week of being pregnant when your baby was just the size of a sesame seed, your baby has now grown to about 25-30 cm long.
Brain
Your baby's brain starts to wrinkle and fold, just like the typical brain of an adult. At the same time, the neurons on your child's brain will continue to develop to six different layers; having their own functions each. This is why it wonderful therapy for your baby to speak to it softly, sing it songs and play to it relaxing music while it is in your womb.
